If you are thinking of exploring the island and visiting some of the many tourist attractions then hiring a car is almost essential. Hiring a car provides you with the flexability of being able to go where you want, when you want. Many places like the beaches at Papagayo in the south and the cliffs of Famara in the north are quite off the beaten track and are definately best reached by car and if you rent one of our rural Lanzarote villas a car is a very good idea.

The roads on the island are very well sign posted and in excellent  condition as most roads have been reserficed over the pàst few years.
